Cultural activity - visit to Delphi -  on 17 June 2006: 
A visit to Delphi, the most popular archaeological site in Greece, is planned.

Aim of the conference:

The aim of the conference is to bring together experts, educational staff, teachers, researchers, companies and educational decision makers from all over Europe for an exchange experiences and the sharing of the state-of-the-art practice of the educational use of streaming media technology in Europe.

Objectives:

  • awareness raising /highlighting of the state of the art in the thematic area in school education in Europe
  • to disseminate the results of the eSTREAM network to the Minerva community and policy makers
  • to provide examples for collaboration via streaming media and  ICT and opportunities for reflection
  • the establishment of further contacts with innovative actors and projects in Europe
    the sharing of experiences and good practise

Target groups:

  • Teachers experienced with using streaming technology or interested in using it
  • SOCRATES – projects working in the fi eld of the educational use of IT
  • Decision makers expected to make decisions having an impact on the use of IT in schools
  • Educational and other experts active with promoting the use of IT in schools
  • Researchers working in the thematic area
  • Multimedia publishers and content providers aiming at the educational sector

Thematic areas:

  • Present and future technologies
  • The impact of streaming technology in the classroom
  • Legal and financial aspects of creating, sharing and reusing streaming content:
    IPR issues
  • Pedagogical aspects of streaming content (including linguistic and cultural issues)
  • Transnational issues and multilingualism
  • Standards and standardisation

Student rate:                 EUR   50

Accommodation is not included in the conference fee, but you will get special hotel rates in the mentioned hotels.
